About the client

HomeDecor Direct sells furniture and homeware online in the UK and supplies interior designers and boutique retailers.

The challenge

The ageing Magento 1 store was slow, insecure and expensive to maintain. Trade customers ordered by email and phone, which created errors and delayed fulfilment.

Our solution

  1. Migration plan — Products, customers, order history and reviews were migrated with Matrixify, validated against the source store in three rehearsals.
  2. SEO protection — Over 6,000 URLs were mapped to 301 redirects, and structured data was rebuilt on the new theme.
  3. Performance-first theme — A custom Shopify theme with optimised images and minimal apps improved Core Web Vitals across templates.
  4. Wholesale portal — Shopify B2B with company accounts, price lists, payment terms and quick-order forms for trade customers.
